One Piece: The History of Buggy and Shanks' Relationship!

 

Despite their differences in various ways, such as in terms of strength, Shanks and Buggy have a strong and deep connection in the One Piece series. These characters have been around for a long time, even before Monkey D. Luffy started his adventure of becoming a pirate. They are two friends who have had adventures together.

The current One Piece series is about to enter its final Saga. However, Shanks and Buggy still seem very relevant to be in the story. They Grow Up on the Oro Jackson Ship

About thirty years before the main story begins, Shanks and Buggy are a regular crew on Roger's pirate ship. They are the crew on the ship Oro Jackson and have to do various basic tasks like cleaning the ship, and so on. However, it is not uncommon for both of them to be involved in various epic battles, such as in the moment of the Edd War fight.

However, since they weren't strong characters at the time, they would have been behind the ranks of greats like Rayleigh. Shanks and Buggy often argue about various things while on the ship, from the most important to the small and silly things. Shanks Is The Reason Buggy Has Devil Fruit Powers

One of the interesting and extraordinary things about Roger's pirate crew is that none of them possess or eat a devil fruit. However, 27 years ago, during a raid on an area, they found the devil fruit, the Bara Bara no Mi. The devil fruit has a high enough value if it is then exchanged for money or sold.

Buggy actually has evil intentions, where he intends to eat the devil fruit and run away. Unfortunately, the plan actually backfired on him. After Buggy purposely faked a real devil fruit with a fake devil fruit, Buggy hid the real devil fruit in his mouth. However, when Shanks surprised Buggy, the devil fruit was accidentally swallowed by him.

And six years before the current timeline, Shanks officially became a Yonko. Meanwhile, Buggy decides to go to East Blue, which is often known by people as the weakest sea in the entire world. There, Buggy also begins his adventure as a villain. In fact, he was the first villain that Luffy faced when he was a pirate. Unfortunately, there is no information on when Buggy formed his pirate group.

After his duel with Luffy, Buggy lost and then had to languish in Impel Down prison. However, before the events of Marineford we saw how Buggy tried to escape and met Luffy. Finally, he managed to escape from there by cooperating with Luffy. Buggy even reunited with Shanks at Marineford. By now, Buggy and Luffy himself had become allies.

Both Become Yonko

The character of Buggy has always been labeled as a very lucky character throughout the series. Almost every moment that happens in Buggy's life is considered a stroke of luck.
