One Piece: Luffy's Rivals Towards Laugh Tale Increase?

Chapter 1053 of the One Piece series is one of the monumental chapters.  In the story, we see how the epic battle ends in Onigashima.  As we know there are many big names that appear in the battle.  Starting from the Yonko, Worst Generations, and many other strong characters such as Marco or members of CP-0.

The success of Luffy's alliance to defeat the two Yonko and their troops was unavoidable.  However, the greatest effort on the part of the alliance is in the hands of Monkey D. Luffy, Trafalgar Law, and Eustass Kid.  The three members of the Worst Generation are the captains of their respective pirate groups.  Even though the three of them are currently part of an alliance, will this still happen after Wano?

Luffy's Rivals Increase in One Piece

It was highly likely that this alliance would disband after everything that happened in Onigashima was over.  One of the main reasons is the competition to be the best.  Although there are different motivations from these Worst Generations, but there is also one common motivation from them which is to become the pirate king.  This motivation especially applies to Eustass Kid as well as Monkey D. Luffy.

Based on the information that Oda has presented, that Luffy and Kid are indeed presented to be rivals with each other.  Luffy is famous for having a dream to become the pirate king and become the freest person in the world.  It's the same with Kid who wants to be the pirate king, although in a slightly more brutal way than Luffy's figure.  Kid painstakingly went to the New World to make his dream come true.

Kid and Luffy are racing each other to get to the last island.  That's why the two of them will again compete to be the best after the battle in Onigashima.  Besides Eustass Kid, Luffy's other rival to become the pirate king is Trafalgar Law.  So far, Law has not shown any ambition to become the pirate king.  However, in the Wano arc we learn that Law has one main goal in life.

That is finding out what the "D" means in each name or those who are part of the D clan. This was part of his promise to Rosinante before he died.  The figure of Rosinante had said that the D clan was the enemy of the gods.  However, it is still a mystery what the letter D means.  This is what later became Law's goal of becoming a pirate.

Even so, that doesn't mean Law can't be Luffy's rival to become the pirate king.  Because, the world's great secrets, including the meaning of the letter D, could be in Laugh Tale.  that is the reason why Law can become another rival of Luffy besides Kid to go to Laugh Tale, even though Law's main goal is not to become a pirate king figure.

Are Their Abilities Equal?

These three characters are indeed an alliance in Wano, but they are likely to become rivals again to get to Laugh Tale.  However, when it comes to strength, do the three of them currently have equal abilities?  During the Wano arc and the Onigashima battle, each of them had their own battles.  However, we certainly know what happened during the battle.

Luffy really is the difference between the three Supernovas.  He was able to face Kaido in a 1-on-1 battle, although he did get some help from Yamato and Momonosuke.  However, it is different with Kid and Law.  They both work together to be able to face Big Mom.  So, it seems that for the matter of strength, geeks can conclude for themselves that Luffy is superior to Law and Kid.

Regardless, Law and Kid will still be Luffy's other rivals in the race to get to Laugh Tale and become the pirate king.  Of course, it will be interesting to see how the three of them compete after the Wano Country arc.  It's not impossible that later we will see the epic battle of these three characters as they head to Laugh Tale.
