One Piece: Will Luffy Stop Shanks?

Luffy and Shanks' meeting moment might happen in the near future in One Piece.  And their reunion doesn't seem to be going well.  It could be that the two of them will meet again in an epic battle situation, where Luffy will fight against Shanks.  Even though Luffy doesn't want to do that, it seems that the main protagonist is forced to do so.

This is nothing but to help his friend who is also part of his ally, Bartolomeo.  In chapter 1054, it was revealed that Shanks was after Bartolomeo's life.  He and his group had previously challenged or declared war on Shanks' group.  They burned the pirate flag and belittled one of the Yonko.

Because of that, it's only natural that Shanks is currently trying to target the lives of Barto and his pirate group.  Luffy himself for now may not be aware of Shanks' plans.  However, it is not impossible if he later finds out his friend is in danger and then begins to act to prevent Shanks from taking further action.


Luffy Will Stop Shanks

The epic battle against Kaido yesterday in the Wano One Piece arc did provide evidence that Luffy has experienced a rapid increase in strength.  He managed to defeat the most powerful creature in the world.  Based on this, of course Luffy's logic has managed to become the strongest or even much stronger than before.  And this has proven his promise to Shanks.

However, maybe Shanks wanted to find out for himself how Luffy's strength increased.  And the only way to do that is to fight.  Luffy's appearance to prevent Shanks from killing Bartolomeo could mean two things.  First, proving that Luffy will do anything to protect his friends, including facing his own idol.

 It is at this moment that Shanks will then judge whether his bet has been right.  And this moment will also prove to Shanks that Luffy has fulfilled his promise to become stronger.  It could be that we will see Luffy return the straw hat or it could be that Shanks asks him to pass it on to the next generation.

In chapter 1055, Shanks reiterates the emergence of a new era.  Momonosuke is one of the important figures in this new era.  Luffy himself is the main character as a pirate who will create a new era in the world of One Piece.  The fight against Shanks can also be a moment of proof of this, that Luffy is indeed worthy to be an important figure in welcoming a new era.


Another Scenario in One Piece

Besides Luffy will appear and prevent Shanks from killing Bartolomeo's life, there is actually another scenario that might happen.  The scenario is that Luffy will not help Barto at all in this regard.  Why is that?  There are several reasons that support this.  First, as mentioned above that Shanks is Luffy's idol.

He is a person who is instrumental to Luffy, where Shanks has sacrificed his life for Luffy.  It seemed unlikely that anyone would fight against the figure who had saved his life.  If that happens, it's not impossible that Shanks will think again about Luffy's figure.  Second, what Barto did was beyond the authority or knowledge of Luffy and his group.

How he then spread terror, when Luffy and the others actually helped people, it means that what Barto did was the exact opposite of what Luffy and his group did.  It's not impossible if it gets rejected, and it makes Luffy angry.  And as a result, Luffy supports what Shanks is doing.  Let's just wait, whether Luffy and Shanks' battle will actually happen in One Piece.
