One Piece: Are These 3 New Threats in Wano?

 

In the One Piece story, Wano finally feels free again after they have to face the pressure for 20 years due to Kaido and Orochi. During these two decades, the residents of Wano had to live miserably and suffer under the threat of Kaido and Orochi. However, all that changed with the arrival of Luffy and the Straw Hats who tried to help them.

Together with his alliance, Luffy then fought it out against Kaido and his troops. He wanted to free Wano from Kaido's threat, which they finally succeeded in doing. However, from chapter 1052 we get an idea that other threats that lead to Wano seem to be still not finished. There are several other threats that could endanger the region.

Navy

The navy is still one of the biggest threats to Wano. With the strength of their troops and fleets, of course the navy will be a nightmare for the region. One of the things they could do with Wano was send one of the admirals. This is what Green Bull is doing, as we saw in the last panel of the chapter.

What Green Bull did was indeed something that was not planned in advance. The reason is, Sakazuki himself asked Green Bull not to act rashly. The navy did not know how strong the Wano samurai were and how formidable their “fortresses” were. In addition to sending admirals, another big threat from the navy is the active Buster Call.

Buster Call is a supreme decision, where the navy will send their fleet in large numbers to destroy an area. The most obvious example is the moment of the attack on Ohara decades ago. When the navy activates the Buster Call towards Wano, it is certain that a war on a large scale like the one in Onigashima will occur again.

Another Yonko in One Piece

Kaido and Big Mom have already succeeded in defeating Luffy and the other Worst Generations. It took hard struggle from all parties to be able to win the battle against both of them. However, even though both of them have lost, there are still two other Yonko remaining, namely Shanks and Blackbeard. Each Yonko will not attack each other or seize their territory, as long as the Yonko is still alive.

However, things are different when the Yonko or the ruler of the region is killed or lost. So, it is not impossible if then another Yonko took over the former territory. This happened when Whitebeard was killed, where Big Mom then decided to take control of the Fish-Man island territory. However, Luffy later took over the power again.

Wano was previously under the dominion of Kaido. However, with Luffy defeating Kaido means that Wano is now Luffy's territory. Even so, that doesn't mean there won't be threats from other Yonko. The most likely to take over the Wano territory is Blackbeard. No matter how, he always tries to get what he wants. That is, it is not impossible if later Blackbeard came to Wano and tried to take over the power of the region.

World Government

The biggest and most real threat in front of our eyes is the threat from the World Government. As the highest authority in the world of One Piece, they have almost no limits when it comes to authority or influence. On the other hand, they also seem to be trying to seize control of the Wano region after hundreds of years of Wano being the only area outside their control.

We can see this from the efforts they have made since the Onigashima battle began. They sent CP-0 members to Onigashima to carry out various missions, such as killing Luffy or killing Nico Robin. Then, they also sent other reinforcements just in case Kaido lost. The World Government is so eager to seize Wano.

But, unfortunately, their efforts seem to have failed again. Because, Momonosuke decided not to open the borders of the Wano territory, which made them lose the opportunity to attack.
