One Piece: 4 Characters Who Embrace Absolute Justice!
Many people hate the navy in the world of One Piece. The navy is tasked with protecting the public from various threats, such as pirates. But even so, sometimes their arrogant nature makes people don't want to empathize with them. Apart from being arrogant and arbitrary, sometimes the doctrines they profess make people's lives even more miserable. The doctrine is Absolute Justice or absolute justice.
This doctrine is one of the main reasons why many people hate the navy so much. Who are the adherents of the doctrine of Absolute Justice?
Sengoku
Sengoku is a legendary figure in the world of One Piece. He briefly held the position of a fleet admiral and succeeded in bringing victory to the navy when the war against Whitebeard's group occurred. Sengoku is highly respected by other legendary figures, including Gol D. Roger, who proves how powerful Sengoku is.
Actually, discussing absolute justice in Sengoku's figure is still very gray. He was not very sided with the doctrine, but also he kept his doctrine. It is possible, like Garp, Sengoku was forced to do so because he is a marine. But basically, Sengoku is not a navy that is too happy with the doctrine of Absolute Justice.
Vice Admiral Onigumo
Onigumo is one of the Vice admirals in the One Piece series. He's a pretty dangerous figure thanks to his devil fruit. With his spider Zoan devil fruit ability, he can use multiple swords at once. He is also a Haki user which makes him even more dangerous.
In a few moments, we see how Onigumo has shown his ability in dealing with pirates. For example, during the battle at Marineford. He didn't seem to hesitate to attack Whitebeard's troops while protecting the naval base. Unfortunately, Oda doesn't really show the absolute justice side of Onigumo in the story even though he clearly adheres to the doctrine.
Cipher Pol Member
Cipher Pol is a secret organization controlled by the World Government. The task of Cipher Pol is to carry out various espionage, seek various information or investigations, and kill targets according to the direction of the World Government. Cipher Pol itself has the full name Cipher Pol Aigis Zero. Quite a lot of roles from this secret government organization in the story, where most recently they were involved in the war in Onigashima.
As part of the World Government organization, it seems only natural that they are one of the hard-line adherents of the doctrine of absolute justice. They are under the direct supervision of the government and are also one of its instruments. Having different views meant they could be seen as traitors.
Admiral Sakazuki
Admiral Sakazuki aka Akainu is a fleet admiral at the current headquarters, filling the position that Sengoku left before. Akainu has shown that he has extraordinary strength. This is thanks to the Magu Magu no Mi, where the fruit gives Sakazuki the ability to manipulate magma. Although he is a strong figure, Sakazuki is one character that many fans hate.
The hatred is based on what he has shown so far. For example, how he became an evil figure who instigated Squard, killed Ace, and most importantly, of course, he is the "icon" of absolute justice from the navy so far. How Sakazuki enforces absolute justice in the end raises deep hatred both among fans and fellow characters.
Absolute justice is a doctrine which means that anyone who commits a crime or breaks the rules will be punished or be punished. It doesn't matter what the situation is at that time. Many naval forces follow this doctrine, and eventually make them think that they are the only great and great power in the world. This of course will be very dangerous for the survival of people around the world.
