One Piece: 5 Strongest Families in the Ocean!

Eiichiro Oda's One Piece series are renowned for their vast and enormous world.  This is what makes the adventures of Luffy and the Straw Hats so interesting and full of challenges.  In addition, this series also introduces many races and factions in the story.  What's interesting is that the One Piece series also turns out to have a family like the clans in the Naruto franchise.

These families are not ordinary families.  They are part of a family that has tremendous power in the ocean.  The source of their power can come from devil fruit or science.  Some of them are rulers of all regions, but some are able to exert great influence on the world.  Here are some of the strong families in the One Piece series.

Vinsmoke Family 

The Vinsmoke family is part of the royal family.  Those who lead the Germa kingdom.  In the world of One Piece, the Germa kingdom is famous for its very advanced technology.  And one example of high technology that they practice is Raid Suit, a war costume that helps them in battle.  This is also what Sanji had used in the Wano arc.

Their family has always been obsessed with immense power.  This is the reason why Sanji is often bullied and ostracized.  Because they feel that Sanji is not very talented in terms of fighting or leading.  They even had Sanji locked up when they found out that his dream was to become a chef.  However, his brothers now realize that Sanji has changed and he is also a very strong figure.

Charlotte Family

The Charlotte family is one of the largest families in the One Piece story.  Charlotte Linlin aka Big Mom is very picky when it comes to finding a man who will determine her lineage.  Ability, body shape, and strength into some considerations.  In total, Linlin has 85 children, with the youngest already possessing tremendous abilities.

Some of Big Mom's children control or rule some areas of Tottoland.  Meanwhile, his other son was tasked with being the leader of Big Mom's troops, who were then referred to as Sweet Commanders.  Even though Big Mom's children were very large, they were all afraid of Big Mom's power.  No one dared to disobey his mother's orders.

Neptune Family

Neterus or Neptune is the leader of the Ryugu kingdom which is part of the fish-man island.  He is a king who is able to manipulate all water creatures in the ocean.  His sons were the most powerful knights in the kingdom, feared even by the townspeople and criminals.

Although Neptune's wife has long since died, her soul is in her daughter, Shirahoshi, who turns out to be one of the ancient weapons, Poseidon.  Shirahoshi is a figure who can command all sea animals with just his voice.  An example is Megalo who is his favorite shark.  The fans themselves are looking forward to the next interaction between Luffy and Shirahoshi.

Kaido Family

Although so far the One Piece series has only seen two members of the Kaido family, they are both really great characters.  Kaido was one of the rulers of the ocean before Luffy defeated him.  And the fight between the two became one of the most epic battles in the series.  And in the story, we have seen how Kaido is very difficult to get hurt or killed.

Yamato may not be as strong as his father.  However, he still has extraordinary strength and abilities.  The proof was that he was able to defeat the members of the Flying Six very easily.  Being a descendant of Kaido, Yamato was able to use various types of Haki since he was a child.  He actually inherited everything from Kaido's figure, except his nature and behavior.

Monkey Family

The Monkey family can actually be described as an ineffective family.  Because, their entire family didn't seem to have any kind of closeness.  In fact, Luffy was surprised when he found out that he had a father.  However, they have something in common in terms of influence and power.  So far, we only know three people who are part of this family;  Luffy, Garp and Dragon.

There is a reason why the Monkey family is the most influential family.  Monkey D. Garp is best known for his service to the navy.  Years he spent fighting against Roger.  He is also famous for his services defeating the Rocks pirates.  Monkey D. Dragon is the leader of the Revolutionary Army and is also the most wanted man in the whole world.  Lastly, of course, is Luffy, who doesn't need to be introduced to who Luffy is.

The families in the One Piece series have their own uniqueness.  Even so, they are a very strong family figure.  In fact, some of them have enormous influence in the oceans.  In addition to pirates, the One Piece series also turns out to present an interesting element in the form of a family.
