One Piece: Red Line Will Be Destroyed?

Eiichiro Oda's One Piece series is currently preparing to enter the final saga.  After running for more than 20 years, Oda Sensei finally decided to finish the series story in the next few years.  Even though it was just a "rumor", in the end, Oda will really end the adventure story of Luffy and the Straw Hats.

However, one of the big mysteries that still makes all fans curious is what One Piece really is.  There are various theories about what One Piece really is.  There are those who say that One Piece is a very valuable treasure throughout the world, there are also those who say that One Piece is the last piece of the secret of the world, and there are also those who say that One Piece is actually the unity of all the existing oceans.

Return the Whale Flock?

We know that the ocean in One Piece is divided into four – East Blue, West Blue, North Blue, and South Blue.  Every two oceans that exist are separated by a very long stretch of land that we often know as the Red Line.  Simply put, the Red Line is the land separating each of these oceans.  Mary Geoise was also on the mainland of the Red Line.

That's why then a theory emerged which said that One Piece might actually be a unit of all the existing oceans.  In addition to uniting all the existing oceans, there is another interesting theory about One Piece.  In theory, it is explained that uniting the entire ocean is a way to make the whales happy again and can reunite with their flocks.

What is the connection between the Red Line and whales?  This has appeared in Kozuki Oden's flashback story, where at that time Roger was too fast to find Laugh Tale.  He didn't have one of the all-important ancient weapons needed at the time, the Poseidon.  When Roger arrived at Fishman Island, Poseidon himself had not yet been born.  And now we know that Poseidon is actually a mermaid, in this case Shirahoshi.

Shirahoshi is one of Poseidon's ancient weapons because of her ability to communicate with sea animals, especially Sea Kings.  So, what does that have to do with whales?  In a moment that depicts the voice of The Voice of All Things, which can be heard by Roger and Oden, the narration alludes that a very powerful person will be born who will "save" them.  And the popes themselves were looking forward to it.

Destroying the Red Line Is the Solution

The position of the Red Line after the great war that occurred about 800 years ago, did make the whale population decline sharply.  The baby whales must be trapped behind the Reverse Mountain stream and send them back to the Grand Line with no way for them to return home.  This is what then makes the whale calves separated from the herd, just like Laboon.

In addition, the migration path of the whales is also blocked by the existence of this Red Line.  The existence of whales can also be found on fishman islands where they try to migrate, but they are trapped and have to stay there.  By destroying Reverse Mountain and the Red Line, of course, it will be able to return the calves back to their flocks, and restore the whales' migration paths to their original state.

Based on that, this theory stated that the future pirate king and Sea Kings would work together to destroy it all.  And to be able to command the Sea Kings, the pirate king will need the help of Poseidon who is none other than Shirahoshi.  Although there has been no confirmation, it could be that the ancient weapon that Joy Boy built and deliberately built was actually to help the whales migrate.  And this is the reason why Roger and the rest of his crew laughed when they found out about this.
