One Piece: What's the Fate of the Former Shichibukai?

What is the fate of the former Shichibukai now?  The navy has the main task of maintaining peace by catching the pirates who make trouble in the story in the One Piece series.  However, they are not always able to catch the pirates for various reasons.  An example is insufficient fleet strength.  To solve this problem, the World Government then formed another organizational system.

This system is then known as the Shichibukai or the seven rulers of the ocean.  The navy will recruit powerful pirates to cooperate with them.  Had ruled the ocean for some time, this system was then disbanded in the Reverie incident yesterday.  The rulers reasoned that the Shichibukai system was no longer needed.  In addition, they actually become a big threat.  Then, what will happen to them next?

Dracule Mihawk

We already know the figure of Mihawk.  He is one of the strongest characters in the world of One Piece.  As the strongest swordsman in the world, Mihawk certainly doesn't need any protection.  He also doesn't seem afraid and worried about sailing alone or not having a crew.  This can be seen how Mihawk has not had a crew for a long time, and he is the only pirate who does not have a crew.

In chapter 956, Mihawk seems happy and smiling when he accepts the "challenge" from the navy.  He certainly wouldn't lose to the navy, especially considering his formidable strength.  Moreover, Zoro had promised to beat him.  Mihawk was certainly looking forward to that moment.  On the other hand, the navy itself may be aware that their arrival will be in vain.  It's interesting to see Mihawk's reaction to these navies.

Boa Hancock

One of the most favorite characters of the fans is highly anticipated to appear again.  They were certainly curious about how Hancok acted as a pirate.  After escaping the title of Shichibukai, Hancock will certainly be feared throughout the seas, not only because of her reputation, but also because of the strength she has.  While Amazon's own Lilly's fate is safe, it's likely not with Hancock.

In Eiichiro Oda's message at Jump Festa several years ago there were hints that Hancock was in a dangerous situation.  One of the worst scenarios that happened was that Hancock might be caught by the navy, by an admiral to be exact.  However, of course there will be someone who later saves Hancock's figure.  And that figure could be Luffy during the peak war.  And maybe we'll see just how powerful Hancok really is and why he earned the nickname "Pirate Queen."

Edward Weevil

The Weevil figure is one of the characters that still has many mysteries.  Oda Sensei still hasn't presented much information about Weevil's figure.  Appearing for the first time after the timeskip, Weevil is a figure who claims to be the son of Whitebeard.  Although physically and in appearance Weevil is not like Whitebeard, the navy admits his strength is very similar to the former Yonko..

The real proof of this is how Weevil was able to finish off Whitebeard's many pirate alliances alone.  Although it is not impossible for Weevil to be caught, it seems that he is not someone who has a purpose to be saved like Hancock.  The possibility that happened to Weevil was that he would survive the naval invasion and possibly ally with Marco.  In fact, he might even turn out to be a good person.

Buggy

Of all the former Shichibukai, perhaps Buggy's figure is the most "lucky."  He earned the post-war peak Shichibukai position at Marineford, thanks to his reputation as Roger's former crew and partner of Shanks.  After filling the position, Buggy later grew to become a ruler of the criminal world.  With the disbandment of the Shichibukai system, Buggy actually had to suffer the same fate as the others.

However, a surprise then appeared when news emerged that Buggy was chosen to be one of the Yonko's replacements with Luffy.  This may be a sign that the character will have an important role in the upcoming story.  Many fans then speculated that with the election of Buggy as the new Yonko, it meant that he had survived a naval attack.

With the disbandment of the Shichibukai system, the pirates who enter this system must return to their origin.  They will again be the target of the navy.  Some of them have the power that will certainly be able to destroy the incoming fleet.  However, others may not survive and must be caught.  We look forward to the continuation of the story in the next chapter, okay?
