One Piece: Why Didn't Law & Kid Become Yonko?

Monkey D. Luffy, Trafalgar Law, and Eustass Kid finally managed to defeat Kaido and Big Mom in the story in the One Piece series.  This victory marks the end of Kaido's tyranny in Wano country.  While they were celebrating the victory, the latest news regarding the game value appeared.  The three of them turned out to have the same game value, but there was something different about them.  Only Luffy was then considered the new Yonko.

Luffy was already mentioned as the fifth Yonko before arriving at Wano.  So, how Luffy actually became part of the Yonko is not too surprising.  One other vacant position actually became another character, namely Buggy.  This also raises a big question among fans, why didn't one of them become Yonko?

Not Attracting Government Attention

Unlike Luffy, Law and Kid are not figures who are often involved in various important events or events throughout the One Piece series.  Law may have held the position of Shichibukai, successfully capturing a hundred pirates and turning them over to the navy.  However, various other matters received less attention from the government.

The single greatest achievement that Law did during his time as a Shichibukai was forging an alliance with Luffy.  After that, Law actually turned into a supporting character for Luffy.  Law often provides information to the Straw Hat Pirates.  He is also the one who actually prepares or provides a strategy in carrying out an event.

In fact, in the fight against Doflamingo it was Luffy and his crew who fought more.  Law has just returned to the spotlight in his battle against Big Mom in Onigashima.  Even so, it took an extraordinary effort from Law and Kid to be able to defeat Big Mom.  Maybe, of the three, Law is still better than Kid.

When Law and Luffy formed an alliance, Kid also formed an alliance with other pirates namely Apoo and Hawkins.  But unfortunately, the Kid's alliance actually backfired for him where it was Apoo who actually betrayed the alliance.  Apoo turns out to be Kaido's accomplice.  In the end, Kaido managed to defeat the entire alliance very easily.

Kid and his crew later languished in Udon prison, where he and Luffy later met.  Kid's greatest achievement was defeating Big Mom, even though he had to work with Law.  All of these achievements are different from Luffy, who since his arrival to the New World has received the attention of many parties by appearing in Morgan's newspapers.

Full of Highlights

When he first arrived in New World, Punk Hazard became the first stop of the Straw Hats.  This is also where their alliance and the Hati Pirates group was formed.  Later, they moved towards Dressrosa, where Luffy managed to defeat another Shichibukai and then form a large fleet.  When Sanji was kidnapped by the Big Mom pirate group, half of the Straw Hats managed to wreak havoc on Whole Cake Island and managed to escape.

And in the latest major event, Luffy managed to defeat Kaido in a one-on-one fight.  So, if you then compare the events and achievements of Luffy in the last few arcs, indeed Law and Kid are no better than Luffy's figure.  Both Law and Kid don't really have a large amount of power and wide influence.

With Luffy currently having a large fleet of his own, with a crew of thousands, Law and Kid's group is still struggling with their small group.  In fact, Law's own pirate crew didn't really contribute as much in big battles as on Onigashima.  So, it might make sense that Law and Kid don't become the new Yonko figures for some of the reasons above.  Even so, they have their own advantages and what is certain is that the two may become an alliance again in the final Saga.
